Equipment

band, rated anchor, stable step

  1. Secure a resistance band to a rated low anchor in front of you and hold its handle in one hand beside your hip.
  2. Rest the top of your rear foot on a stable low platform and plant your front foot far enough forward for a comfortable split squat.
  3. Lower your hips by bending the front knee, keeping the front heel down, your trunk controlled and the band handle beside you.
  4. Push through the front foot to rise smoothly. Keep the rear foot supported and repeat on the other side after completing your repetitions.

Choose a comfortable range and use secure equipment. The illustration is a movement reference; stop if a movement causes pain.
