How to do prone w raise

Equipment

No equipment required.

  1. Lie face down with legs extended, head aligned with spine.
  2. Bend elbows so arms form a W, upper arms angled out and forearms forward.
  3. Gently lift bent arms a short distance off floor by drawing shoulder blades down and together, then lower them.
  4. Chest and pelvis remain supported.

Choose a comfortable range and use secure equipment. The illustration is a movement reference; stop if a movement causes pain.
