  1. Set a suitable counterweight on an assisted-dip machine and take a secure grip on its fixed parallel handles.
  2. Place both knees on the assistance pad and begin with your arms extended comfortably and trunk upright.
  3. Bend your elbows to lower through a comfortable range as the pad follows your knees. Keep your shoulders controlled.
  4. Press through the handles to rise. Keep both knees on the pad and use the machine's steps to dismount safely.
